We are looking for a talented individual to work with us in the Colombia Office to accompany, through technical and logistical assistance, the fulfillment of the work plan defined with the Government of Antioquia within the framework of the Phase II program of Norway.
Following the guidelines of the GGGI in Colombia and under the supervision of the Subnational Coordinator, with support for the Regional Associate, the intern will perform the following functions:
Support the preparation and definition of the contents of educational brochures for the control of deforestation
Support the preparation and definition of the contents for the structuring of the green growth policy for the subnational government of Antioquia.
Support the preparation and definition of the contents for the and structuring of the theoretical-practical course on green growth for the subnational program, in an articulated way with the green growth course developed between Department National Planning-DNP and UK Pact.
Provide technical and logistical support for the organization, convening and holding of meetings and / or events that are required
Prepare the written communications necessary for the project.
Prepare memories of meetings and events.
Perform the other functions and tasks as assigned by the Program Officer for Colombia
The assignment will include the followings but not limited to:
Support the regional advisor in the activities that lead to compliance with the Work Plan established between the subnational government of Antioquia and the GGGI for 6 months, specifically for the Secretaries of Environment, Agriculture, Planning, Productivity, and Municipal Management, through of the following reports:
Document with the content of the educational brochures for the control of deforestation
Document with the content for the structuring of the green growth policy for the subnational government of Antioquia
Document with the contents for the structuring of the theoretical-practical course on green growth for the sub-national program, articulated with the green growth course developed between the DNP and the UK Pact.
To be eligible for an internship, candidates must:
Be enrolled in a Bachelor’s (final year), Master’s or Ph.D. program before internship assignment, or a recent graduate within the last 12 months.
Be engaged or recently engaged in academic study in a field directly related to the Institute’s work
Possess an excellent command of English.
Majoring/majored in environmental, forestry, biology, ecology, geography, or related engineering from universities accredited by the Ministry of National Education.
Certified management of English level B1 or higher would be a plus.
Experience in forestry research hotbeds would be positively valued.
Should be a native speaker in Spanish
Should possess a proper work permit to do internship in Colombia
